life is a journey, and mine has certainly been filled with its share of twists and turns. i believe every experience i have had has shaped me into the person i am today. i am a person seeking the best i know how to love God and love others with the grace i have experienced and been shown. this website is a place where i share questions, thoughts, stories, commentary, rants, prayers, theology, and dreams.
i was born in oklahoma city and spent the vast majority of my educational life at heritage hall. i went to college in tulsa at the university of tulsa where i studied history and music, served as choral assistant for the tu chroale, and served as music director and secretary for the alpha chi chapter of phi mu alpha sinfonia. during that time i began my career as a middle school youth pastor as asbury umc. i left tulsa for the great state of california to serve as middle school pastor at journey community church where i was for 3 years. from journey i went to work for youth specialties helping to create and produce the ermergent and national youth workers conventions. after 3 years at ys, my job was down-sized, and i started pursuing freelance event production. that led to a year and a half of full time retail at west elm while i started volunteering and then serving part time at missiongathering christian church.
starting in september of 2008 i become the pastor of spiritual formation at mg which i am absolutely loving. this church is home and is making a difference for the kingdom and in people’s lives. i am so honored and excited to be a part of this movement of grace. you can follow a lot of what’s going on here on my blog or at missiongathering.com. our current series blog can be found at slumdogchristian.com.
please engage in my journey & my story, but please be respectful; i will do the same.
welcome to the inner aroll…
